The 525 is an exact re-issue of the original API 525 compressor, right down to the original meter. We added a discrete balanced input stage for modern interfacing, and a relay bypass switch for a complete bypass of the audio circuitry in addition to the original OFF button. Many users have commented that "It reminds me of the original two I bought new from API in the 70's".
