When did you first start playing music?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My parents bought me a cheap Strat copy, a combo amp, and a distortion pedal for my 15th birthday, though I vaguely recall taking piano lessons for a little while in elementary school too. I remember at least attempting to write my own music within months of starting with the piano lessons, and I’ve played in bands since I was 15.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

What gear is in your current rig?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have a fairly large collection of guitars, high gain tube amps, and effects pedals, And am perpetually adding outboard and mics to my home studio. I absolutely love Soyuz<\/a> mics, love my Earthworks DM20 for top snare, love Soyuz’s 1973 for electric guitar cab, and have outboard from Phoenix Audio<\/a>, Crane Song<\/a>, AEA<\/a>, and my beloved Sebatron<\/a> VMPQuadPlus s\/n 100.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

What\u2019s on your wish list? What gear are you loving right now?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I’d love to have an Anderson<\/a> T in Bowling Ball Swirl and have spoken with Tom about it. When I win the lottery I don’t play, it’ll be top of the list! I’d take a 3rd and 4th Dave Hill Europa too!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

What is your favorite genre of music?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I’m all over the map when it comes to my\u00a0musical preferences. I listen to a lot of different things, from crazy crazy metal, to R&B\/soul, to hip hop, to ’80s pop, and more.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Metallica’s \u201cRide the Lightning,\u201d and Run DMC’s \u201cRaising Hell\u201d were definitely major influences on me.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
