A Quick Q&A with Jordan

Where are you from originally?

I spent the first ten years of my life growing up in North Jersey, and have spent the last ten between Connecticut and North Carolina

What brought you to Sound Pure?

Quite simply—the people, and a personal (and shared) love for all things music. There’s an environment here you simply can’t find in music retailers. It’s welcoming and inclusive, and electrifying. There’s never a dull moment. I am genuinely curious and excited to see what comes next.

What’s your favorite musical genre?

I am a MASSIVE metal fan. I grew up listening to my dad’s old classic rock records and immediately fell in love with guitar. From there, all I wanted was more guitar. I quickly switched from The Rolling Stones and the like to 80’s hair metal, falling in love with the growling guitars of Motley Crüe. Over the last couple years I’ve become infatuated with heavier and heavier guitars, swapping out my love for 80’s hair metal with that a more modern taste of metal, i.e: Polaris (Australia), Bullet For My Valentine, Wage War, Phinehas and others.

What record(s) have changed your life?

This Place Will Become Your Tomb by Sleep Token, The Death Of Me by Polaris, The Flood by Of Mice and Men, The Fire Itself by Phinehas, Scream Aim Fire by Bullet For My Valentine

Top musical influences?

Erra, Sleep Token, Motley Crue, Make Them Suffer, Wage War

What sports teams are you into, why?

For football, I’m a New England Patriots fan. The very first football game I saw was 2004’s Super Bowl 39, between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots and was enamored by Brady and New England’s offense, and have been a fan ever since.
