Manufacturer's Description from Strymon

When we set out to design Ola dBucket Chorus and Vibrato, we knew that we wanted to take a high-performance SHARC DSP and dedicate all of it's horsepower to doing one thing—providing the most lush and organic chorus and vibrato sounds ever heard. Our hand-crafted, processor-intense dBucket algorithm delivers all of the warmth and sonic complexities of analog choruses and vibratos. We drew influence from some of our favorite vintage chorus effects and a certain little blue box vibrato with a strong cult following. Couple that with true bypass, a favorite preset, stereo input and output, and a super high quality analog front end and output section, and you have yourself a versatile chorus and vibrato workhorse.

The Chorus type is a traditional single-delay-line chorus using our dBucket algorithm. It uses a logarithmic LFO type to create a deep chorus that makes a great transition from lush to pulsing as the speed is increased.

The Multi type has three individual dBucket delay sections per channel to create a 'studio' chorus effect that handles a high wet mix without sounding warbly.

The Vibrato type employs a sinusoidal-type LFO and a single dBucket delay line per channel to capture the essence of the original classic vibrato stomps.

The Envelope mode causes the effect to react to your playing level. When Chorus is selected, the wet signal diminshes as you play louder and comes back in at lower playing levels. With the Multi type, the opposite effect happens. The wet signal increases as you play louder, and diminishes at lower playing levels. With Vibrato selected, the speed of the vibrato increases as you play louder, and slows down at lower playing levels.

In Ramp mode, press and hold the bypass footswitch to ramp in the effect. Use the Ramp knob to adjust the speed of the ramping effect. The effect ramps more quickly as you turn the knob clockwise.

Five tone shaping knobs:Speed, Depth, Mix, Ramp | Env, Tone.

About Manufacturer

The Philosophy:
We want to build products with no compromises. We want to push the limits of technology in music. We want to redefine what is possible with music gear. We want to use exceptionally great components and ridiculously powerful processors. We want to make gear that sounds better than anything you've ever heard. We want to make our customers happy. We want you to be inspired to create amazing music.

The People:
We're a small company and we'd like to stay that way. We do this because we want to create gear that is fun to design and fun to play. We want to experiment and try new things. We don't want to work for the man. We don't like authority. We don't want to grow up. We want to work hard and have fun doing it.

The History:
Damage Control was founded in 2004 with the release of our line of tube-driven effects pedals, which earned critical acclaim and became favorites among guitarists across the globe. In 2009 we teamed up with Strymon to begin co-developing products, and the rest is history.
