The A Designs MP2A Dual Channel Vacuum Tube Microphone Preamplifier is a wonderfully detailed and open-sounding tube microphone preamp that has a very clean sound, with very subtle tube color, warmth, and three-dimensionality. It is not heavy, colored, or conjested in the mids and low-mids. This makes it a great choice on acoustic instruments including guitar, piano, orchestra, percussion- wherever you are looking for articulation, detail without the heavy, sluggish, and sometimes muddy response you sometimes get from vacuum tubes. This a seriously high-end piece, that should be given a serious listen.
