Designed in tandem with Lamb of God’s Chris Adler, the Mapex Black Panther Warbird snare drum delivers a one-two knockout punch of power and precision with every stroke. This snare features a 6-ply hybrid shell construction of Maple and Walnut. Maple tends to have a slightly warm frequency response which favors low-end, and Walnut has a balanced frequency response with a big, warm attack. When combined, these two tonewoods offer a dark and crisp attack which is further focused by the narrow 12” diameter. The cylinder drive strainer allows for precise adjustment of snare-wire sensitivity, and the lugs on this drum tension with ease, allowing for extremely precise tuning. This drum was crafted with one purpose in mind: to cut through the most intense of mixes with fury and deadly precision.

With addition of the SONIClear Bearing Edge the sounds that this drum produces can be described as biting, powerful and quick.
The snare is also fitted with Sonic Saver hoops that dramatically reduce stick wear and enhance resonance. Additionally, a cylinder-drive strainer provides smooth adjustment by way of a self-lubricating bearing and "mirco-lock" technology. This Mapex Black Panther snare drum features stainless steel snare wires for crisp, lively action.
