Starting with the St Charles Ave. guitar model as a basis, Jimmy Foster has created an archtop jazz guitar that possesses many of the most popular features available while keeping the price at a minimum. The Basin Street Edition jazz guitar is a 15" thinline hollow body guitar that possesses a full acoustic sound while offering the comfort given by its compact design. This little cousin of the Avalon model is crafted with the finest materials available. The other outstanding feature of The Basin Street Edition guitar is its immediate availability from a Foster authorized dealer. If you prefer to deal direct, the Basin Street Edition can also be purchased from Foster Guitars. This archtop jazz guitar is availble as a 6-string guitar or a 7-string guitar.

About Manufacturer

Jimmy Foster has been practicing the luthier's art for over 30 years. Just as importantly, he's been playing guitar for over 35 years - a rarity among guitar builders. It's this player's perspective, plus his commitment to perfection, that defines the character of each and every Foster Guitar. Jimmy's early musical idols were artists such as Chet Atkins, Les Paul, and Tony Mottola. As his talents developed, Jimmy's taste turned toward the jazz influences of players like Howard Roberts, Johnny Smith, and George Van Eps, the legendary 7-string jazz guitar player. An "everyday man" Jimmy loves to talk to his customers and welcomes their input into the building of their custom instrument.
