Carved spruce top with laminate maple back and sides.
This AR503CE is perfect for the player who wants the tone and response of a solid spruce top but might also prefer to have laminate back and sides to help reduce feedback (and the price tag). The mounted Kent Armstrong humbucker produces a clear, warm tone and captures the airy complexity of the guitar's acoustic voice. Even with the laminate back and sides, this guitar sounds very woody and detailed in the way that great handcarved archtops can when good materials meet great craftsmanship.
