Coles 4050 Stereo Ribbon Microphone Pair Demo/Open Box  From Coles

Coles Electroacoustics has come out with their first stereo ribbon microphone.  As one of the most versatile microphones on the market, the Coles 4050 can also be transformed into two seperate mono mics. While much like a 4038, the 4050 also contains the highly acclaimed Coles 4040 capsule giving the 4050 its extended frequncy response and high output.

The custom shock mount contains magnets that allow the two mono mics to connect together to form a stereo micconfiguration. The mount can hold one or both microphones, allowing either coincident or spaced pair scenario's. The shock mounts also allow for a full 360 degree range of rotation giving the user full freedom to vary and define the stereo image.

Overall, the Coles 4050 is an exceptional stereo microphone with classic and inviting warmth, tons of depth, high frequency reach and detail and all the fullness you could ask for!!
