What We Think

The mahogany shells combined with the full contact bearing edges provide punch and warmth. Double-ended Radio King-style beavertail lugs are centrally mounted on all of the drums and provide minimal sonic interference. The snare has a crisp definition, warmth, depth of note with minimal overtones.

The Player Date provides an excellent build quality with incredibly resonant and defined tones while capturing the vintage look and vibe.

Developed in conjunction with Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms for Peace), the Player Date I has a round, dark tone with body; an enhanced low end; and a clear, defined note. Its 7 Ply Mahogany shell has a wide tuning range and controlled decay. It comes standard with Full Contact bearing edges, 2.3mm triple flanged metal hoops, and our centered, double-ended Deco lug design. The Player Date I is perfect for the recording studio and any playing situation that requires musicality and warmth.
